Gary Keller and Jay Papasan are the authors of a book called The One Thing.  You can learn more about it here www.the1thing.com.  The premise of the book is that the results we get in our lives are directly influenced by the choices we make.  I agree 100% with this assertion.  It is my belief that when we hone our ability to reject distraction and focus on ONE THING at a time, we can move metaphorical mountains.  I also believe that all of you self-proclaimed “multi-taskers” will accomplish more by doing less if you discipline yourself to concentrate on and complete ONE THING at a time.

Let’s take the ONE THING challenge together.  Ask and answer the following questions.  Write your answer down and put it somewhere that will allow you to see it often each day.  Perhaps your journal, your calendar, a sticky note, or a flash card.  I urge you to NOT use your smart-phone as an option because it is likely that you will fall into distracted mode if your answers are on your phone.
