Managing Your To-Do List

Managing your To-Do List can assist you in creating a life that feels good.  What do I mean by this?  Well, the first thing that I invite you to do is clarify the Top Three ways you want to feel.  Do you want to feel peaceful, content, free?  What?  Spend some time thinking about this because it matters.  Once you have proclaimed how you want to feel, I want you to go through your To-Do List and do some prioritizing.

First, list everything that you get to do in order to clean up your To-Do List and manage your life.  Then take action.  Put the least desirable requirement of your time at the top of the list and work your way down from there.  Doing this allows you to get the ‘shit sandwich’ out of the way first and end on the most desirable thing to do.

Second, look through your list and decide who or what on it doesn’t allow you to feel the way you have declared that you want to feel.  This might be a so-called friend who is an energy drainer.  It might be a board that you serve on that is not serving you.  It might even be a spouse or significant other.  Whatever or whoever it is, you must let it go.  And, I will tell you that you know in your ‘gut’ what the right thing for you to do is.  Trust your gut.  Let it be your trusted guide as you are managing your To-Do List.  If you are committed to feeling the way you want to feel you will do what it takes to get there.

Stay true and be you —
