The Handwritten Note

When was the last time you send someone a handwritten note with a stamp, a real stamp on it?  I love to go to my mailbox and be surprised to receive a handwritten note from someone.  In today’s digital world, most communication is done through email or texting.  It is impersonal, and this type of connection can quickly be taken out of context.

Your Challenge

If you want to put a smile on a face, carve out the time to sit down and write a note to someone you admire.  It might be a faraway friend, a past teacher or boss, an old friend, or a family member.  Tell them what you appreciate about them and let them know how you are doing.  Place your note in an envelope and hand-address it.  Put that real stamp on it and send it.  Let it go knowing that the recipient will be truly surprised by your kind gesture.  And, do this often.  It makes a difference.
